Doctors and nurses from all 13 NPH clinics participated in a very intense medical workshop during the last week of February. Interesting and complex medical cases were discussed, among them, the outcome of a genetic mutations, cancer, malnutrition, birth malformations, etc.
The central topics for the workshop were: special needs care, update and practice on CPR according to the American Heart Association and normal child development; physical and mental, what are the milestones a child should present for each age and when should red flags be considered.
Survey results regarding the workshop content was very positive and the NPH healthcare staff appreciated the opportunity to be able to share with other NPH colleagues and receive professional training.
