What would you do if Guadalupe, a 15-year old, passed out, is not responding and has a bleeding wound on her arm? With questions like this, the clinic staff in Nicaragua taught the caregivers emergency basics. We discussed wounds, fainting, respiratory distress by swallow something and convulsions. In small groups they had to solve problems, discuss them and practice their reactions with the help of doctor Silvia. The caregivers were very attentive, and are looking forward to the next level of emergency case management.
