In NPH Mexico, a oral health campaign was conducted from February 15th March 1st. During this campaign, the cleaning and prophylaxis of 342 children, occurred which is the majority of the population in Casa San Salvador in Miacatlán. Fluoride powder was used, provided by the health center. The children were offered individual oral health talks regarding the art of brushing, when is brushing is required and nutrition strategies. A toothbrush and toothpaste kit were distributed for each child. Diagnosis was documented for each file, and the most urgent treatments were conducted. Outstanding treatments will be scheduled at short notice. In the welfare of children, dental health plays a very important role and good prevention and education can prevent many dental diseases.

En NPH México se llevó a cabo la campana de salud bucal del 15 de febrero hasta el 1 de marzo 2013. En esta semana se realizó profilaxis y limpieza a 342 niños, la mayoría de la población de Casa San Salvador en Miacatlán. Se aplicó fluoruro en polvo, proporcionado por el centro de salud. Se impartieron pláticas de salud bucal individuales sobre la técnica del cepillado, cuando cepillarse y sobre la alimentación. Se entregó una dotación de cepillo y pasta dental a cada niño. Se documentó el diagnóstico en cada expediente, y se llevaron a cabo los tratamientos más urgentes. Se programarán los tratamientos pendientes en un corto plazo. En el bienestar de los niños la salud dental juega un papel muy importante, y con una buena prevención y educación se pueden prevenir muchas enfermedades bucales.
